The IAB has named Matt Freeman to chair its new agency advisory board, a committee it launched to build a bridge between online publishers and ad agencies. Freeman, the chief executive officer of Tribal DDB Worldwide, will oversee quarterly meetings of the 22-member board, which will identify issues and initiatives to advance interactive’s share of the marketing mix. It will also act in an advisory capacity to the IAB’s regular membership.

“Due to the newness of the medium, there are still kinks that must be worked out and this Board affords leading agencies a forum to address these issues,” said Freeman.

The board’s first meeting was held in late October.

Marion Gamel, U.K. mobile marketing firm Enpocket’s head of media relations, has left her position to join Google as head of U.K. marketing.

Pay-per-click search engine Kanoodle.com has promoted Dave Casion to chief information officer. Casion has been on the company’s IT team for two years, before which he was a software engineer and systems architect at CFOKnows and a member of the Linux strategy group at IBM.

While Kanoodle.com has maintained a CTO position since its inception, the CIO position is a new designation. In the past year alone, the company said its information technology architecture has quadrupled in size and capacity.
