Juxta Digital, an interactive media consultancy in New York, has launched a site for alumni of Columbia University’s continuing education information technology programs. The new Web presence provides a directory of alumni, allows discussion forums, and contains a job database. Alumni can update their directory listings with personal comments, job history information, and skills.

The site is also a resource for recruiters seeking to target job opportunities to IT pros, and provides a special area for employers to enter and post job information. Additionally, Juxta’s e-mail newsletter system allows administrators to send announcents of events, speaking engagements, and other items of interest to alumni. Columbia hopes the site will grow to become a useful resource for alumni of the programs to stay in touch and exchange ideas, job leads, and career tips.
