Fax4Free.com launched a
multi-million-dollar print, radio and television advertising campaign.
Spending specifics were not disclosed, but the Rabuck Agency, based in Los Angeles, is
handling the creative, while Santa Monica-based PPG Advertising is placing
the media.

The ad-backed site, which allows users to send and receive faxes for free,
also launched an affiliate marketing program and said that it will begin
offering “advertising-free, no-cost faxing” within the United States.

Fax4Free.com formerly included Image Builders (ads on the borders of each
faxed page. The Image Builder ads will continue to be carried on cover pages
of documents faxed internationally, as well as on all faxes that utilize the
company’s new affiliates program.

“Image Builders used to be a requirement when using our service, but that is no longer the
case,” said Barry Shore, senior vice president of Fax4Free.com. “Everyone wants to use Fax4Free.com and we don’t want to create any
barriers [ads]. The Fax4Free.com brand and subscriber base are critical. We
know that this is the way to build them.”

The affiliate program allows participating sites to let their users fax
documents for free with a single click. This fax functionality transmits text
and graphics just as they appear on a Web page, and there are no limits to
how many times a particular item is faxed.
