San Francisco-based Web ad network Flycast Communications Corp. said it named
Larry Levine to lead the company’s expanding media sales force as vice
president of sales.
Since 1994, Levine has operated his own consulting practice, The LML
Consulting Group, specializing in sales training, sales force planning and
deployment, sales force compensation, marketing strategy, business valuation,
executive coaching and motivational speaking.
His clients have included InfoSeek, Hearst Publishing, CMP Media Inc., NEC,
IDG Publications, Conde Nast Publishing, the MPA, Crain’s Business Media and
Cowles Publishing.
Levine joined Ziff-Davis Publishing in 1981 working in sales for Data Sources
and then for Creative Computing. In 1985, he became associate publisher of
Digital Review. In 1989, Levine joined Computer Shopper as associate
publisher, where he launched PC Sources and combined the two magazines’ sales
forces. He then became executive director of DirectNet (the publishing
division created by combining these two publications), responsible for over
$80 million in ad sales. When these sales forces were later split, Levine became publisher of PC Sources.
