As rich media advertising grows at a booming rate, @Home Network has been working to help facilitate that growth.
The company is reporting that its Enliven Business Unit, a leading provider of rich media advertising solutions across the Internet, increased revenues 130 percent over fourth
quarter 1998. It has also seen its core base of customers grow to more than 125
leading advertisers, including such Fortune 500 companies as American Express, Compaq, Delta
Airlines, Ford Motor Company and Kraft Foods during the past year.
“Our tremendous growth in the first quarter of 1999 reflects advertisers’ demand for much more effective,
accountable campaigns,” said Hilmi Ozguc, vice president of @Home Network’s
Enliven Business Unit.
“@Home has defined the rich media category and created the standards that
enable advertisers to expand their online advertising initiatives. @Home’s Enliven services
enable advertisers to reach consumers not just on @Home’s broadband content but across the Internet, on
all leading sites whether narrowband or broadband.”
Enliven combines multimedia, interactivity, and e-commerce capabilities with tracking and
reporting in a branding, direct marketing, and commerce vehicle. Unique among interactive
advertising solutions, Enliven offers a standardized way of quickly building and deploying rich media
campaigns across the continuum of Internet distribution channels, including
standard dial-up, high speed @Home broadband PC (cable), and eventually TV set-top
connections, the company said.
Analysts predict that rich media will constitute at least 20 percent of online advertising revenues this year, increasing to 60 percent by 2002.
