New York City-based interactive direct marketing agency i-traffic launched an Affiliate Network
Services group (ANS), designed to help online merchants create, manage and
maximize sales from affiliate initiatives.
The group will provide dedicated expertise, systems, and service to help
clients
maximize sales goals through affiliate marketing, the company said. i-
traffic’s ANS will
be headed by Andres Glusman.
The company said its affiliate network is a series of linking, revenue sharing
deals an online merchant sets up with a multitude of other sites. Payments are
based on the performance of the links.
i-traffic said that Jupiter Communications reports that by “2002, 25
percent of the expected $37.5 billion in Internet retail sales, not including
autos, will have originated on affiliate sites.”
The ANS group will work closely with affiliate network enabling companies like
LinkShare and Be Free, third-party
vendors that are dedicated to the back-end technologies and tracking solutions
required. for affiliate network management.
“Our goal is to help clients win new
customers through online marketing by any means necessary,” said i-traffic
CEO Scott Heiferman. “Today, this means
‘The 3 A’s’: online Advertising, online Alliances (eg. portal deals), and
online Affiliate programs.”
