IMAKE Software & Services said it has been
tapped to construct the next generation advertising system for ad network 247 Media Inc.

The new delivery software will serve as the heart of 24/7 Media’s ad serving
system and will be known as “24/7 Connect,” the company said. It will include
enhanced targeting, user profiling, integrated OLAP reporting, and a suite of
online campaign management tools.

IMAKE’s integration service division will engineer and deploy the system in
an N-Tier architecture spanning multiple data centers throughout the U.S. The
value of the agreement was not disclosed.

“24/7’s ad serving requirements matured noticeably in 1999. After kicking the
tires of every major ad system, we determined that building a new system from
the ground up would best serve the needs of our clients in the new
millennium,” said 24/7 Media’s vice president of operations, Jay Drago.

IMAKE said it will take advantage of its extensive experience in building
real time, interactive, object-oriented applications first demonstrated with
the release of e.merge, the company’s next generation suite of front and back
office support applications.

Separately, 24/7 Media named former Turner Broadcasting executive John
Barbera as chief operating officer of 24/7 Europe, to be based in
Amsterdam.

Joining Turner as part of the original group hired by Ted Turner in 1978 to
launch the first commercial satellite network — which eventually became WTBS — Barbera
rose the to the position of president, Turner Broadcasting Sales.

During his tenure, he directed ad sales’ revenue growth from $6 million to a $1 billion.
Most recently, he has been on consulting to Fortune 500 companies and
start-ups in new media.
