Online insurance marketer InsWeb Corp. signed up for
a marketing sponsorship with the InfoSpace directory service.
Under the agreement, InfoSpace users accessing InsWeb can get free price
quotes and purchase policies from leading carriers offering auto and term life
insurance. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.
Consumers can access InsWeb’s insurance marketplace through the sponsor bar,
as well as via several areas within InfoSpace, including the yellow pages,
product search, investing, and classified sections.
Marc Barach, senior vice president of consumer marketing at InsWeb said:
“InfoSpace is a great fit for InsWeb because it attracts a very large number
of Web users who are actively seeking products and services.”
Recently, InsWeb announced an exclusive partnership with Yahoo!’s new Insurance Center. Other recent
partnerships include USA TODAY Online; Realtor.com; Consumers Car Club, and
through that agreement, a placement on the auto channel of the navigation
services, Excite and Webcrawler; BanxQuote, a financial network;
Recycler.com, a provider of auto classifieds; and AllApartments.
