IntelliPost to Include CLT Research Tools

San Francisco-based Intellipost Corp. said it is expanding
its BonusMail opt-in advertising service to
include a set of sophisticated market research tools provided
by New York-based CLT Research Associates Inc.

“CLT is one of the most respected market research firms in the country,” said
Intellipost’s president and CEO, Steve Markowitz. “By using BonusMail, CLT
will be able to give its clients access to hundreds of thousands of consumers
through rewarded e-mail, lowering the cost of surveying while increasing
response rates.”

Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.

BonusMail is a program that rewards consumers for reading targeted e-mail ads.
With detailed profiles on more than 300,000 members, BonusMail says it offers
direct marketers the ability to reach consumers by e-mail responsibly.

Under the agreement, Intellipost will offer its advertisers CLT’s market
research services, while CLT will use BonusMail to conduct research for its
clients.

The two companies will also jointly develop the Directronic Marketing
Evaluation Research Program, in which CLT will analyze BonusMail campaigns run
by Intellipost clients. The program will give those advertisers feedback for
their future marketing efforts.

CLT specializes in complex market structure studies, attitude and usage
surveys, tracking, product development, online research, image research and
modeling both in the United States and internationally.

“CLT was one of the first market research companies to use the Internet and
the Web for market research,” said Lowell Allen, chairman of CLT. “The
BonusMail panel provides us with a well-defined and easily targetable
database, and Intellipost’s integrity and respect for consumer privacy offers
an excellent platform for high-quality online
research.”
