K-tel in Ad Pact With TV Media

Los Angeles-based K-tel International Inc said its new K-tel Express online
music store, set to launch May 1, entered an ad pact with TV Media, a large
international buyer of direct response television advertising.

TV Media will promote the music service by prominently displaying a
promotional tag or byline in TV Media Group’s direct response advertising

The promotional tag, known as the TV Media Link, will be linked directly to
“K-tel Express” Web site address. Spending was not disclosed.

As part of the initial six month contract, K-tel will provide TV Media with a
commercial that will promote “K-tel Express” products using the promotional
tag. TV Media will also broadcast a separate commercial, also provided by K-tel, that directly promotes the site.

The link between the TV Media and K-tel Internet sites will allow the
companies to track the source of K-tel Express customers to determine the
effectiveness of the marketing campaign, the companies said.

“This alliance allows K-tel to broaden awareness significantly and enhance
business opportunities in Asia and other territories internationally which TV
Media serves,” said David Weiner, K-tel president. “With TV Media we are
expanding our existing media strategy and worldwide marketing efforts allowing
K-tel Express to be introduced to new audiences.”
