Direct marketing infrastructure company L
ifeMinders
signed a deal making Air2Web, a wireless application service provider (ASP), the first wireless ASP to
distribute LifeMinders wireless personalization and reminder technology to
its customer base.

LifeMinders also said that more than 1 million members already have
registered to receive wireless messages. The company said it is in the midst
of rapid expansion in the wireless Internet space, amassing its large
wireless message member base in six weeks and developing new products to
provide personalized wireless offerings.

The deal with Air2Web will bundle LifeMinders’ direct marketing
infrastructure, which includes data warehousing and its proprietary
personalization process, with Air2Web’s wireless backbone. Financial
arrangements were not disclosed.

“We have built our business on personalizing information to our massive
database; more than 15 million LifeMinders.com members have been receiving
our targeted messages for over a year,” said Stephen R. Chapin Jr., chairman,
chief executive officer and founder of LifeMinders. “Now, we’re taking that capability to
wireless.”

LifeMinders.com currently offers severe weather alerts and zip code- specific
forecasts to its wireless members. The capabilities made available through
the Air2Web partnership will extend that offering to the delivery of
additional LifeMinders.com categories, including personal events, horoscope
and stock alerts, all expected in the coming weeks.

The Air2Web Always Interactive suite of services enable businesses to create,
deploy and deliver their branded applications and content to consumers using
wireless WAP and SMS phones, pagers and pervasive computing devices. These
services support interactive applications on digital phones that combine text
and audio. Air2Web provides application hosting, including day- to-day
applications management and support.
