Mecklermedia Acquires CyberAtlas.com Web Site

Mecklermedia, “The Internet Media
Company” said it acquired CyberAtlas.com from Web measurement firm Internet Profiles Corp. (I/Pro).


CyberAtlas.com, which will be added to Mecklermedia’s Internet.com network of
Web sites, compiles and analyzes research about the Internet and information
technologies. Features include market reports on Web demographics, e-commerce,
advertising, browsers, modems and servers. Financial terms of the deal were
not disclosed.


“CyberAtlas.com is used principally by Web marketers and Internet industry
professionals to support business decisions,” said Alan M. Meckler, chairman
and CEO of Mecklermedia.


“We are pleased that we were able to build CyberaAtlas.com into the highly
regarded Web research site that it has become,” said Al Hulvey, general
manager at I/Pro. “This transition was a result of a decision to focus on
other exciting opportunities more central to our core business competencies.”


Mecklermedia’s Internet.com provides real-time news and
information resources for Internet professionals and Web developers and
currently serves approximately 18 million pages to 1 million unique visitors
monthly. The site features other well-known brands including Web
Developer.com, WebReference, InternetNews.com, The Electronic Commerce Guide
and SearchEngineWatch, as well as Internet Advertising Report.
