MeTV.com, a broadband
streaming-movie start-up, on Monday selected Engage Technologies (ENGA) to sell its banner advertising, and
partnered with the company to develop streaming rich media ads
for the site.

“Our database management capabilities enable us to tailor
category specific ads to interested members who will be among
the first generation of broadband ad consumers,” said Martin
French, senior vice president, marketing, MeTV.com.

“As we continue to ramp up our service offerings moving toward
our June consumer roll-out, monthly hits now exceed one
million, making MeTV.com an attractive site for marketers who
want to reach the influential 18 to 34 year-old demographic.”

MeTV.com plans to offer video on demand, which will include
full-length movies and television shows.

Engage, a subsidiary of CMGI
(CMGI), has also worked with both Real Networks (RNWK) and Microsoft (MSFT) to develop ads that work with their
streaming technologies.
