MindArrow Systems, the multimedia
e-mail marketing company formerly known as eCommercial, on Monday expanded
internationally with the acquisition of Hong Kong-based Fusionactive.com
Ltd., a marketing and advertising agency.

The company says the all-stock transaction, the details of which were not
disclosed, is part of its plan to take its technology into international
markets. MindArrow Systems (ARRW) also plans to leverage Fusionactive.com’s client
base, which includes companies like Sony Corporation, Suzuki, Samsung
Electronics, Hyundai, and the government of Hong Kong.

“This is a clear opportunity to expand our business model and to
incorporate MindArrow’s rich media technologies into advertising and
marketing campaigns throughout Eastern Asia,” said Tom Blakeley,
MindArrow’s president and chief executive officer.

“Additionally, this acquisition provides our US clients with the ability to
strengthen their marketing efforts in Asia.”

The 25-employee Fusionactive.com will operate as an independent subsidiary
of MindArrow Systems, with local management handling day-to-day operations.
The company has plans to expand Fusionactive.com into Singapore and Korea.
