Muzak Selects Saltmine to Create Online Presence

Saltmine Creative Inc., an online development and design firm, said that it was selected to design and develop a Web site and intranet for Muzak.

“We are proud to partner with Saltmine in creating an exceptional site,” said
Kenny Kahn, Muzak’s vice president of marketing. “We have no doubt that they
will exceed our expectations in developing a visually impressive, extremely
functional online presence.”

Billings were not disclosed. The site Saltmine is creating for Muzak will
include audio collages for every genre in its catalogue, video clips, and
monthly playlists for all 60 of Muzak’s broadcast programs.

Muzak will be able to update the playlists via an automated publishing system
Saltmine is developing. In addition to engineering and designing the Web site
and intranet, Saltmine is donating production time to Muzak’s Heart and Soul
Foundation, an organization that raises money to support music education for
children.

Muzak’s audio architecture is based on a wide variety of services including
original broadcast music programs, on-premises music programs, audio
marketing, voice talent and production and system design. Muzak uses this
audio architecture to help businesses use the power of music as a persuasive
tool or a way to amplify their brand personalities.

Saltmine’s clients include British Petroleum, The PGA TOUR, Microsoft
Corporation, C-SPAN, London First Group, IBM, Home Shopping Network, the Los
Angeles Times and Columbia Sportswear. The company’s services include online
software development, database systems creation, e-commerce, Internet/intranet
site design, and multimedia creation and broadcasting.
