Northern Light, DoubleClick Launch Personal Finance Search Center

Northern Light Technology and DoubleClick Inc. launched the Alexander Personal Finance Center, a
resource for personal finance information from the Web and Northern Light’s
Special Collection research library of more than 4,500 full-text sources.

Alexander is that guy pictured on the $10 bill. Visitors to the center can
search for information relating to five key subject areas: taxes, including
state, federal and local taxes, banks and banking, credit loans and debt, real
estate and personal insurance.

Because each subject area contains content from specially selected Web sites
and publications that are related to personal finance, users can expect
targeted, highly relevant results, Northern Light said.

The site also takes advantage of Northern Light’s classification and
organization technology that automatically sorts results into folders based on
subject, language, source and type of document. The site is accessible from
links via Microsoft Home Advisors, Sandy Key Mortgage, Get Smart, Home
Mortgage USA, AllState, Capital One, The Atlantic, BigCharts, Stockmaster,
Money Talks and Edgar Online.

Northern Light said it was chosen by DoubleClick to build the personal finance
center because of its unique ability to build custom search sites that focus
on specific subject areas.

“We wanted a solution that gave our users access to information they couldn’t
easily find elsewhere,” said Jonathan Shapiro, vice president of business
development for DoubleClick. “Northern Light was able to build a powerful and
uniquely useful custom search site for us quickly. And, in addition to the
substantial resources of the Web, Northern Light’s Special Collection provides
thousands of authoritative sources such as Kiplinger’s Personal Finance
Magazine, Real Estate Weekly and the Journal of Financial Planning. . . ”

Northern Light’s partner research sites can be customized to deliver special
content–both Web and proprietary content–along with transaction
processing, branding and advertising.
