ONSALE Names New Vice President of Advertising Sales

Jun 12, 1998

Internet auction house ONSALE Inc. said that
Debbie Pinkston has joined the company as vice president of advertising sales.

Pinkston, who has more than 13 years of experience in media sales and
marketing, will direct all aspects of advertising sales for the ONSALE Web
site. Pinkston is responsible for developing new advertising sales programs,
products, special events and promotions at the company.

Pinkston will spearhead two new advertising programs designed to leverage
ONSALE’s targeted audience. A Vendor Matching Funds Program will enable ONSALE
vendors who exceed a predetermined amount of product sales to accrue matching
funds for use within ONSALE’s suite of advertising products.

In addition, Pinkston is implementing a co-branded store, which is aimed at allowing vendors to achieve higher sales volumes and receipts. Both initiatives are designed to complement ONSALE’s already existing banner, e-mail and button advertising programs.

Pinkston previously served as director of advertising sales for Mpath
Interactive, where she developed the Mplayer Web site’s Internet advertising
program. Prior to joining Mpath, Pinkston was director of marketing services
for Accolade Inc.
