Menlo Park, CA-based Interactive auction site ONSALE Inc. signed an exclusive, multi-level
sponsorship agreement with ZDNet.

As part of the agreement, ONSALE will appear as the exclusive auction sponsor
of a newly created advertising ticker on all the product pages of ZDNet as well as on the Computer Shopper
NetBuyer Web site. In addition, ONSALE will sponsor selected keywords and
will have rotating banners and buttons throughout the ZDNet site.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Said Jerry Kaplan, chief executive officer and co-founder of the auction
site: “ONSALE has a strong customer base of business buyers and resellers,
and we feel that this partnership with ZDNet will provide us with excellent
exposure to a large and highly targeted group of these buyers.”

ONSALE currently specializes in selling excess merchandise, such as
refurbished and close-out products. More than 400,000 visitors have placed
bids since the launch of the service in May 1995, according to the company.
