E-mail newsletter advertising network PennMedia.com has surpassed 5
million opt-in e-mail subscribers after seven months of operation.

The subscriber base is currently growing by 800,000 people per month.

“Our growth has been fueled by the imperative to deliver a cost effective ad
medium to Internet advertisers,” said PennMedia.com CEO Jaffer Ali.

“So many ad dollars flow to off-line media precisely because most advertising on the Internet has proven
to not only be ineffective but extremely overpriced. E-mail advertising
inside daily newsletters is the most cost efficient ad medium on the Net.”

Tinley Park, Ill.-based PennMedia.com offers more than 180 different ad-backed
newsletters ranging from daily jokes to daily recipes. Recipients of the
newsletters
opt-in to receive the content of their choice, delivered via e-mail.

Advertisers include Intel, MyPoints, LifeMinders, CoolSavings, Borders.com,
InsWeb.com and eFax.com.
