Interactive advertising and sales strategy firm Phase2Media has been named the
exclusive ad sales representative in the U.S. for Hachette Filipacchi Media’s
ELLE.com, a portal for affluent young women.
In conjunction with the formation of the partnership, Phase2Media named Diane
Silberstein as vice president, worldwide sales for ELLE.com.
“In Phase2Media we find the perfect partner who understands our brand and who
provides us with a senior sales force which will quickly develop our revenue
stream in the U.S.,” said Laurent Negrier, vice president for marketing at
Silberstein has a background as publisher of Elle in the U.S. Later, at The
New Yorker, she held the positions of vice president, managing director and
senior vice president,
publisher, managing the national and global sales staff.
Silberstein began her career with Glamour and then joined Vogue and Allure in
increasingly higher level advertising sales positions focused on fashion,
beauty and retail. Immediately prior to joining Phase2Media, Silberstein served as executive
director of Citymeals-on-Wheels U.S.A. in New York City.
ELLE.com was launched this month as the portal access to all of the Web sites
for the international editions of ELLE magazine. It features original content
including fashion, beauty and lifestyle news, community, services and
shopping. Additional highlights include streaming video of runway shows from
around the world and over 20 forums that will enable users to discuss and
