Interactive agency Proteus Inc. in Washington, DC, said that it has
developed its 500th banner advertising campaign for the year.

“For Proteus, building banner advertisements and Web sites begins and ends
with a commitment to helping our clients meet their online goals,” said Patrick McQuown,
Proteus’ president. “Our 500th campaign is evidence of our
continuous efforts to deliver creative and effective advertising tools that
satisfy our clients needs.”

Proteus has developed banner campaigns for clients including Omnipoint and
Newsweek.com. In addition, under contract with the Washingtonpost.Newsweek
Interactive (WPNI) Proteus has developed banner campaigns for WPNI clients
including JCPenney and the Smithsonian.

Proteus developed a campaign for WPNI on behalf of JCPenney that featured a
quick-loading dynamic interstitial page as well as a downloadable coupon that
automatically built a customer database and translated directly into
measurable sales.
