Competitive Media Reporting (CMR) in New York
City launched AdFlash.cmr.com, a new
Web-based product
that allows client advertisers and agencies to see and hear competitors’ new
creative TV spots within hours of first airing.

AdFlash also offers clients the capability to download the creatives and
distribute them via e-mail within their organization. Creatives are updated
throughout the day with a simple refresh of the browser, CMR said. Access to
AdFlash can be obtained with a browser, log-in and password.

“Our clients consistently look for new tools that will give them the
competitive edge,” said David Peeler, senior vice president/agency group of
CMR. “CMR’s AdFlash is the cutting edge media tool that directly responds to
clients’ needs. It allows them to know what the competition is doing
virtually as they begin doing it.”

AdFlash, a companion product to CMR’s AdDetector, monitors creatives from
Network TV, Cable TV, Spanish Language TV and local TV for 75 markets. Users
can choose a category and/or parent companies to be tracked, as well as
archive viewed creatives for future reference.

Competitive Media Reporting is a provider of strategic advertising
intelligence to advertising agencies, advertisers, broadcasters and
publishers. The company’s tracking technologies collect occurrence and
expenditure data as well as the creative executions of more than 750,000
brands across 15 media. CMR is a VNU Marketing Information Services company.
