New York City-based Real Media has
created and built a
sweepstakes mini-site for Honda and is running it on LEXIS-NEXIS’ Academic Universe,
which reaches millions of college students.

The three-month campaign includes a banner rotation as well as a sweepstakes
promotion. The mini-site is tied to
Honda’s Spring Break Giveaway and is designed to generate qualified leads for
Honda in the college market. The sweepstakes winner gets a $500 travel voucher
to use for a Spring Break vacation.

Spending on the campaign was not disclosed.

Real Media exclusively represents LEXIS-NEXIS Academic Universe for all aspects
of
the site’s advertising. The site delivers 8 million to 12 million banner ad
impressions per month. Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and
administrative staff at the 850+ college and universities are able to use a
standard Web browser to access LEXIS-NEXIS Academic Universe both on and off
campus.

Separately, Real Media, which operates a network of more than 570 locally
branded Web sites, made three significant personnel changes.

Charles C. Smith, 31, Real Media’ s executive vice president, managing
director of advertising sales since April 1998, has been promoted to the newly
created position of chief marketing officer.

Don Perri, 47, joins Real Media in the newly created position of chief
operating officer and chief financial officer. Perri will oversee all company
operations including finance, human resources, infrastructure issues and
traffic/operations flow. Perri comes from Advance Publications Inc., owner of
newspapers in 22 cities as well as Conde Nast, CondeNet; Parade; and React.
Most recently, he was COO of Advance Internet Inc.

Bennett Zucker joined Real Media in the newly created position of vice
president–sales. Zucker will be in charge of expanding Real Media’s Web ad
network sales force and the training and deployment of 64 Publicitas/Globe
Media, Inc. sales people to sell Real Media’s new Print Plus program that
integrates online and print ad campaigns. Zucker came to Real Media from
Metrocorp, publisher of city and regional magazines in Boston and
Philadelphia.
