San Francisco PR, Web Firms Merge

Three of San Francisco’s independent communications agencies are to meet the
expanding needs of clients for brand-focused, integrated communications and
Web-based interactive marketing.

The new company, BrandFusion LLC, represents the merger
of Jamison Cawdrey Advertising; public relations firm MacKenzie
Communications Inc. and Content Creators, an interactive multimedia design
firm.

BrandFusion said it will have 50 employees, with 1999 projected billings of
$40 million. Offices will be in San Francisco and Santa Clara.

“Technology has dramatically altered the communications landscape,” said
David Jamison, principal. “Clients want to add value to their brand across
all media platforms — whether that’s best accomplished through advertising,
public relations strategies, or the Internet. We believe there is a great
opportunity for three like-minded, culturally compatible firms to provide an
integrated, synergistic approach to clients’ marketing and communications
needs.”

The name, BrandFusion, is a reflection of the firm’s strategy, said Marc
Cawdrey, principal. “Our name clearly defines the positioning of our new
company: bringing together multiple disciplines in order to most effectively
and appropriately support a client’s brand.”
