Scott Mednick, the founder, chairman and CEO of THINK New Ideas in New York City, has officially decided to leave his creation to pursue long-standing philanthropic interests.

The 149-person firm, which recently expanded to the Pacific Northwest with the acquisition of Herring/Newman (and its $55 million in 1998 billings), produces full service marketing campaigns for Network Associates, Oracle, Avon, Chrysler and others. Services range from interactive marketing campaigns to package design.

Mednick recently joined the National Board of Directors for the Inner City Games Foundation.

THINK spokesperson Brian Czarny was quoted by the Silicon Alley Reporter as saying that the decision was not sudden, though he could not provide a specific time frame on Mednick’s exit procedure. Second in command Ron Bloom, will assume the post vacated by Mednick.
