New media agency THINK New Ideas Inc. in New York City said
it has been commissioned by Turner Broadcasting System Inc. (TBS) to work with
the company in the development of a new corporate Intranet.
The assignment was awarded to THINK’s new Atlanta office, and will incorporate
skills from across THINK. Billings were not disclosed.
“Corporations are now beginning to integrate their brand and marketing and
communications programs into common initiatives which begin inside their
company and connect each employee, distributor, agent, developer, partner,
etc. into a common communications environment,” said Ron Bloom, THINK Chairman
and CEO. “Turner obviously understands the value of branding across a network
and is emerging as a leader in applying that understanding to its intranet and
extranet efforts worldwide . . .”
Phase One of the project incorporates research and functional and design
specifications including the mapping of global deployment initiatives. Phase
Two will include both a worldwide rollout of the new intranet and related
branding, as well as a custom toolset, developed by THINK. The user-friendly
system will ultimately incorporate a global navigation system and provide
resourceful information for employees that includes
company news, human resource benefits and technical support, THINK said.
