Ubrandit.com, a firm that provides
companies with branded services like e-commerce and Internet service, has
bought ClickSmart.com, in a bid to
bulk up its client list.
Financial details of the transaction weren’t disclosed.
Ubrandit.com hopes that, by buying ClickSmart.com, it will better be able to
attract customers from the acquired company’s client list. That list
includes: Hearst
Publications (Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping, Town &
Country, Redbook, Victoria, Country Living,
Esquire, Popular Mechanics, Harper’s Bazaar, Healthy
Living, and others), Reader’s Digest, Primedia Special Interest
Publications, Conde Nast, and Children’s Television Workshop (Sesame Street
publications).
ClickSmart.com currently helps these publishers sell video and books from
their Web sites, assists them with direct response print marketing, and
handles database management and order processing/fulfillment services. If
Ubrandit.com has its way, though, it will likely try to sell these
publishers on the other services that it provides.
“We are extremely excited to be joining Ubrandit.com, a company of
exceptional industry expertise and vision,” said Peter Heumiller, president
and chief executive officer of ClickSmart.com.
“We believe that the synergistic combination of the two companies will
result in a great number of opportunities for continued revenue growth and
cash flow as well as enhanced product offerings, advertisement, and online
traffic integration and expansion.”
ClickSmart.com also has some URLs that might come in handy:
