oCost-per-click ad network ValueClick announced
the availability of VisiTrack, a new campaign testing service using a real-time statistics module.
Using VisiTrack, advertisers on the ValueClick Network can monitor the
effectiveness of their banner ad campaigns. VisiTrack is a free service
offered to advertisers on the ValueClick Network of more than 6,000 Web sites.
“Advertisers are increasing their spending online, with a real focus on the
return on investment,” said Brian Coryat, founder and CEO of ValueClick.
“VisiTrack will help them increase their return per dollar by monitoring
beyond clickthroughs, and looking at sales and leads for the effectiveness of
a particular banner.”
VisiTrack uses “cookie” technology to track Web users through to the
advertiser’s Web site. By placing a line of HTML code (supplied by
ValueClick) on selected pages of the advertiser’s site, the performance data
of each banner is measured and recorded. The VisiTrack results show how many
clickthroughs, leads, and sales each banner generated.
ValueClick says it registers more than 3.5 million impressions per day across
