WorldPages/Web YP Partners With Microsoft

San Francisco-based WorldPages/WebYP Inc., an Internet white
and yellow pages directory entered a strategic alliance with Microsoft’s Internet Start Group that integrates the
WorldPages Directory into the Microsoft Internet Search Page.


The directory will enable users of Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 3 and
4 to access a WorldPages’ search for business, people, and government listings
throughout the U.S.
and around the world. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.


WorldPages said it provides access to 112 million U.S. and Canadian white and
yellow pages listings (including mapping,) 800 numbers, 9 million e-mail
addresses, 30 million
URLs and links to over 200 directories worldwide.


Web YP Inc., the parent company of WorldPages is a provider of Web-based
advertising for small businesses in the U.S. and Canada. The company has over
80 North American sales affiliates and 50,000 advertisers.
