Riverbed Updates Visibility, QoS Tools

Feb 8, 2011

Networks operate more effectively when operators have greater visibility into the applications they’re carrying. Solid quality-of-service arrangements don’t hurt, either.

Riverbed is out with a pair of releases that aim to address both of those pain points.

The vendor has released Riverbed Optimization System (RiOS), version 6.5 of its WAN optimization offering, and the Cascade 9.0 application visibility platform.

With RiOS 6.5, Riverbed is looking to simplify the process of setting up WAN optimization policies for network admins. Cascade 9.0 promises a comprehensive performance map that identifies an application’s server and storage components.

Enterprise Networking Planet has the details on the latest offerings from Riverbed.
