Intermec Taps Bluesoft for Partner Program

Jun 25, 2003

BOSTON — Intermec Technologies, an Everett, Wash., provider of software and services for mobile computing systems, has named Bluesoft to its “honors partner” program.

“Adding Bluesoft to our network of honors partners provides our customers with value through the ability to create productivity-enhancing and cost-saving applications,” said Rod Crane, Intermec vice president of channel partner sales.

Bluesoft makes products boost the security of short-range wireless networks. Specifically, its AeroScout location-based authentication capabilities automatically detect and locate unauthorized users and deny them access to the network.

Its products are used largely in the manufacturing, logistics, retail and health care sectors.

Based in San Mateo, Calif., Bluesoft is privately and venture-backed by funded by Intel Capital, Coral Ventures, Star Capital, Technoplus Ventures and Dr. Andrew Viterbi (founder of Qualcomm), among others.

Editor’s note: Intermec is an exhibitor at 802.11 Conference & Expo here in Boston.
