Notify Technology Tuesday announced that it will support all Wi-Fi-enabled Palm
and Pocket PC devices on all versions of its NotifyLink Enterprise
Editions.

The San Jose, Calif.-based company said the added support will
allow users to send and receive e-mail and access content from a personal
information manager (PIM) whenever they are in a Wi-Fi network coverage area. In
addition to 802.11, the software also supports CDMA2000 1XRTT, GSM/GPRS,
DataTAC, Mobitex, and ReFLEX networks.

“We are hearing a consistent
message from large organizations about the need to provide a single solution
that will facilitate both Wi-Fi and mobile wireless users,” said Paul DePond,
president and founder of Notify Technology.

Notify said the software will
provide additional encryption for any information transmitted or received
between the NotifyLink Enterprise Edition server and the wireless handheld. It
supports both Triple DES and AES encryption standards over any Wi-Fi network or
mobile network connection.
