VPN Client for Pocket PC Released

Funk Software today announced the general availability of AdmitOne VPN Client
for Pocket PC. The product enables handheld users to establish a secure wireless
connection to their enterprise networks.

The wireless VPN link can be established over the Internet, or within a
company’s WLAN. VPN’s are used to ensure data privacy and thwart wireless
eavesdropping and channel hijacking.

“Until now, concerns over wireless security have posed a significant obstacle
to widespread deployment of Pocket PC devices in the enterprise, despite the
clear advantages of equipping salespeople, manufacturing personnel, and other
mobile workers with Windows-based handhelds,” said Joe Ryan, vice president of
Funk Software. “AdmitOne VPN Client for Pocket PC gives network managers an
affordable and easy-to-use solution for guaranteeing communications security for
handheld users.”

AdmitOne VPN Client for Pocket PC implements IPSec and IKE (Internet Key
Exchange) technologies to establish a secure end-to-end communications channel
between a Pocket PC device and the corporate VPN server. Funk Software stated
that simple installation, configuration flexibility, and built-in tools simplify
deployment across disparate devices and VPN servers.

The software is compatible with leading VPN servers, including those from
Check Point, Cisco, Intel, and Nortel. Funk stated that it is compatiblie with
Pocket PC devices, including Compaq’s iPAQ, Casio’s Cassiopeia, and
Hewlett-Packard’s Jornada. It fully conforms to the latest RFCs for IPsec and
IKE.

AdmitOne VPN Client for Pocket PC is part of Funk’s AdmitOne family of
customizable IPsec and IKE security software. This also includes AdmitOne IPsec
and IKE Client toolkits for Windows XP, 2000, NT, 95/98, ME, Linux, and real
time operating systems (RTOS); and AdmitOne Server for deploying IPsec/IKE
protocols in remote access, LAN-based or wireless environments.

as well as through local system integrators and VARs and Ingram Micro and Tech
