Lexmark announced on Monday six new wireless, all-in-one printers designed to meet the varied needs of small business owners. The new arrivals will be split evenly between Lexmark’s Professional Series and its Home and Student line of inkjets.
The company created these AIO printers based on extensive research into how people actually use printers. The customer segments they’re aiming for, according to Justin John, a Lexmark marketing manager, fall into these categories: personal, home and student and professional/SOHO.
“Personal computing consists of mainly documents without much color,” said Johns. “Families with kids aged eight to 18 typically drive the home and student category, while the professional/SOHO segment incorporates people who also print work documents from home.
Johns also identified the three core themes Lexmark kept in mind when designing the printers as mobility, ease-of-use and smart software solutions. “From built-in wireless to a bright LED control panel to scheduled print capability, these printers help improve efficiency and productivity,” said Johns.
The Professional SeriesAll three printers in this series come with a five-year warranty, a toll-free, dedicated priority tech support number and lifetime technical support. The printers also include high-yield ink cartridges that Johns said generate approximately 485 pages in black and 500 pages in color.
