Amazon.com launched its first private-label
marketing effort, offering the Amazon.com Bag Collection, a set of six
custom-designed bags and totes.

The bags, designed and manufactured exclusively for Amazon.com customers,
will be featured in Amazon.com’s Bag Shop.

Price points range from $29.99 to $79.99.

The bags are lightweight, easy to carry, and constructed to accommodate
everything from laptops, cellular phones, and books to gym clothes and
bottled water.

“As the Amazon.com brand evolves, offering branded merchandise is an
important and exciting step,” said Mary Morouse, vice president and general
manager.

“We know our customers are increasingly using messenger and
monostrap bags and backpacks instead of traditional briefcases, so we’ve
designed an original product line that reflects our commitment to quality and
customer service.”
