CONNECT Inc., a
provider of business-to-business electronic commerce software, said that AT&T Wireless Services has deployed a customer service and e-commerce system based on CONNECT’s application
development platform, OneServer.
In addition, AT&T Wireless, which provides cellular, messaging/pager, inflight phone and wireless data communication technology, also recently licensed additional electronic commerce software from CONNECT. Financial details were not disclosed.
Design and construction of AT&T Wireless’ electronic commerce application was
completed in approximately six months by a team of consultants from CONNECT
and Ernst & Young working in concert with AT&T Wireless Services personnel.
The system runs on server hardware from Hewlett-Packard.
“By combining HP’s hardware server platform and CONNECT’s electronic commerce
software, AT&T Wireless is providing its customers with the mission-critical
capabilities needed to run powerful business-to-business programs,” said Gina
Cassinelli, marketing manager of HP’s Internet and Applications Systems
Division.
OneServer is a software platform used to develop large-scale, full-featured e-commerce applications.
