Online auction site ONSALE said it is now using Smart Tools, a set of features designed to make it easier for consumers to participate in online sales.

New tools include:

  • Bid Watch, which enables users to monitor and bid on multiple auctions from a single screen.
  • Bid Agent, which enables users to maintain a winning bid more efficiently during auctions. With it, you simply enter the maximum price you’re willing to pay for an item, and Bid Agent continually enters the minimum price necessary to keep you a winner.
  • The ONSALE Clock, a Java applet that enables users to view Pacific
Standard Time on the desktop, useful for those who do not live on the West
    Coast.
  • And coming soon, Easy Search, which will allow users to find the products they want by either inputting specifications or brand names.
