Audio solutions provider Boston Acoustics Inc. and S3’s Diamond Multimedia, a digital media firm, united to co-brand digital audio devices.

Under the terms of the partnership, announced Wednesday, Boston Acoustics (BOSA) and S3 (SIII) plan to leverage
each other’s expertise in analog and digital audio technology to design and develop digital audio products.

Boston Acoustics’ speaker technology will be embedded into S3’s
future digital audio products. Additionally Boston Acoustics plans to develop retail audio products that incorporate S3’s Rio Audio technology. The first joint product is slated to debut this fall.

The coupling enables both companies to deliver next generation audio to their customers, said Mike Reed, director of marketing for S3’s Diamond Multimedia. “We strive to provide consumers the best experience in digital audio.

“This alliance enables us to combine our superior audio technology with Boston’s award-winning speaker technology into future digital audio products, elevating the overall sound quality,” he said.
