CDnow launched a
proprietary customer
incentive program called Fast Forward Rewards that gives customers points
which
can be redeemed online for merchandise.

Shoppers who purchase from CDnow earn reward points for every dollar spent.
Customers can cash in their points for a variety of CDnow products from the
Fast Forward Rewards Catalogue, offering (naturally) CDs, music-related
products including CD Carry Cases, headphones and the SONY Discman, as well as
fold-up concert chairs and blankets, binoculars and soft travel coolers.

Also offered are CDnow branded products including T-shirts, baseball caps and
mousepads. CDnow says it carries more than 300,000 music related items.

An introductory offer allows members to earn double points on anything
purchased in the store until Oct. 15, the company said.

“We looked at a variety of programs to reward our loyal customers, but none
offered the flexibility and value our customers deserve, so we built Fast
Forward,” said CDnow President and CEO Jason Olim. “Fast Forward is our way to
thank our loyal customers for their love of music.”
