Electronic commerce processing and electronic billing and payment company CheckFree opened a new Contact Center in
Phoenix, AZ.
Employees at the Phoenix location will handle inbound calls from subscribers
and partners and outbound payment research. CheckFree associates also will be
available to support overflow calls whenever necessary.
The new facility adds depth to the company’s electronic billing and payment
support efforts for customers in the region.
In addition, the company plans to move western region check printing
operations to Phoenix from Atlanta to speed mail delivery times west of the
Mississippi.
The new facility replicates services provided by CheckFree’s
center in Dublin, OH, which will primarily provide check printing services to
eastern and central regions of the U.S.
The new 100,000 square-foot center opens with approximately 100 employees and
CheckFree estimates the facility will be fully staffed with 400 to 500
employees by the end of 2000.
CheckFree designs, develops and markets services that enable nearly three
million consumers to receive and pay bills over the Internet or electronically
through a variety of bill aggregation points, including banks, brokerage
firms, portals and interactive content sites on the Internet, and personal
financial management (PFM) software.
