Diamond Multimedia Systems Inc. launched a new e-Store featuring an auction that allows customers
to place electronic bids on a variety of products nearing the mature end of
their life cycles.
Products to be auctioned will include graphic, video and audio accelerators,
modems, MP3 and home networking solutions.
The online store itself offers the latest in PC multimedia peripherals and
Internet appliances.
“We have chosen to take advantage of this opportunity to offer our customers great Diamond products
that are maturing but still in demand or have been previously owned and
refurbished by Diamond to our demanding quality standards.,” said Mike
Booth, e-commerce merchandise manager at Diamond Multimedia.
“By auctioning off first-class merchandise to the highest bidder, our e-store
auction site allows us to manage our inventory process while enabling our
customers to purchase quality Diamond products at compelling prices.”
Diamond is using AuctionPlace from FairMarket Inc., a provider of hosted
auction technology and services. The FairMarket solution features a
notification agent termed The Diamond Watch List that alerts bidding
customers when specially requested products become available.
Diamond Multimedia products include the Rio series of Internet audio
appliances, the Stealth and Viper series of video accelerators, the Monster
series of 3D gaming accelerators, the Fire series of professional graphics
accelerators, the Supra series of modems, and the HomeFree line of home
networking products.
