Online video retailer DVD EXPRESS has signed a
two-year, $5.3 million partnership with Infoseek, and has entered into an
agreement
with the MSN network, for which financial
were not disclosed.

“With our premier positioning locked-in on Infoseek, MSN, AOL and
AltaVista,
we are continuing in our leadership position as the dominant force in
online
DVD movie and DVD-ROM sales,” said Michael Dubelko, president and
founder of DVD EXPRESS. “This partnership with Infoseek underscores our
commitment to aggressively pursuing merchant deals which enable the
expansion
of our market reach and customer base.”

Since the launch of partnerships with AOL
and AltaVista in September, DVD
EXPRESS said orders have doubled from 10,000 to 20,000 per week.

“The opportunity for our customers to sample and buy videos online has
great
implications for the depth of their Internet experience and for our
commerce
initiatives going forward,” said Beth Haggerty, senior vice president of
strategic partnerships and worldwide advertising sales at Infoseek. “We’re
pleased to partner with DVD EXPRESS to provide that opportunity.”

The pact with Infoseek establishes DVD EXPRESS’ presence in the main
entertainment areas of the portal. Infoseek visitors will have access to
DVD
EXPRESS’ virtual storefront and searchable database of over 2,800 DVD
titles.

Additionally, DVD EXPRESS will feature its virtual storefront in MSN
shopping’s music and video areas.
