EarthLink Adds E-Commerce Tools

EarthLink, the Atlanta Internet service provider, today launched new software tools to help its Web hosting customers build online stores.

The Miva Merchant offering features ordering, inventory tracking, statistics, data encryption and mailing list management tools.

A more advanced version also comes with currency conversion and automatic UPS shipping calculations.

“With Miva Merchant, businesses have a reliable, secure and affordable method for selling products and services online and accepting real-time credit card payments from their customers,” said Erika Jolly, an EarthLink vice president.

All Miva Merchant packages come around-the-clock support via telephone, email or chat. EarthLink E-commerce products start at $29.95 per month.

Although it made its name providing dial-up Internet service to residential customers, EarthLink has been adding options for small businesses including high-speed Internet access, Web hosting and wireless services.
