College student-oriented e-commerce player edu.com established an e-commerce relationship
with Snowball.com, a provider of online media
and entertainment for Generation i.

The relationship positions edu.com as the primary commerce solution for
Snowball.com’s sites PowerStudents.com and InsideGuide.com, offering special
“student only” pricing on products and services including hardware and
peripherals, software, credit cards, textbooks and other items.

Financial
arrangements were not disclosed.

“Snowball.com is committed to providing Gen i students access to information,
entertainment and commerce relevant to their lives,” said Mark Jung,
president and CEO of Snowball.com.

“We chose edu.com as the primary
e-commerce provider for our college sites because they, too, value students
and uniquely provide them best in market opportunities to acquire the
products and services they need.”

Founded in 1998 by Adam Kanner and Linda Kanner, edu.com is a multi-category
e-commerce channel for manufacturers and service providers that want to
market discounted goods and services to a validated student-only audience
without conflicting with other established retail channels.

Edu.com partners include AT&T, Adobe, BankBoston, Citibank, Fleet,
Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Microsoft, Symantec, and Toshiba.

Privately held Snowball.com also operates ChickClick and IGN.com.
