Euphonix Launches Remote Audio Monitor Service

Audio system supplier Euphonix Inc. Thursday launched an Internet-enabled remote monitoring service. The product is available to users
of the System 5 high performance digital audio console.

Listen-In is designed to offer a
quality live, secure access to a control room mix via a high-speed Internet
connection. According to Euphonix, it is the first in a series of interactive services.

The product eases the creative process, according to Scott Silfvast, company founder and chief product
officer. “Not everyone involved in recording and
mixing can be located physically in the control room at the same time,” he said.

“But a
producer accessing the Internet from anywhere in the world — and through a
secure link — can now listen-in to the mix as it’s happening live in the
studio. In addition, a producer or client can offer creative suggestions to
the engineering team in the control room via a simple telephone call.”
