Looking to boost its communications network, Go2Net Friday inked a three-year e-commerce pact with Internet telephony firm Net2Phone.

Together, Go2Net (GNET)
and Net2Phone (NTOP)
will create a new unified messaging and communications center on Go2Net
Network.

Businesses will have the opportunity to send and receive
voice mail, faxes, e-mail and telephone calls from an integrated Web-based
system. Clients may download Net2Phone’s software and place calls to any
modem in the world at low rates.

Further enhancing Go2Net Network’s communications system is the integration
of custom e-mail and other products from CommTouch Software (CTCH)
, a leading provider of outsourced e-mail for corporations.

The deal gives Net2Phone the right to distribute its
services through GO2Net’s portals to third parties. They have the right to
incorporate its IP telephony services when Go2Net provides start pages or
customized portals to third parties through set-top devices.

“Net2Phone has established itself as the Net’s leader in voice-enhanced
communications products, and we’re very pleased to be adding their
services, as we develop a singular way to meet the communication and
commerce needs of our users,” said Russell C. Horowitz, Go2Net chief
executive officer.

Also Friday, Go2Net reported a net loss of $10.7 million or 37 cents per
share, compared with a loss of $390,000 or 2 cents a share a year earlier.
However, revenues rose to $9.8 million from $2.5 million.
