How2.com, the online subsidiary of Citadel Technology Inc., signed a long-term agreement with GE Warranty Management Inc. that will enable the online sale of extended warranties for appliances and consumer electronics.

Backed by GE’s 1,200 service technicians and a network of 8,000 customer care servicers, consumers can now purchase extended warranties on major appliances up to 15 years old and on consumer electronics up to 10 years old online at the how2.com warranty channel.

Financial arrangements between the companies were not disclosed.

The How2.com-GE Warranty agreement follows the launch of its online rebate processing program, a program on which a provisional patent has been filed on the related technology and methodology.

The rebate program enables consumers to find, file for, track and secure rebates via the Internet. For How2.com’s e-partners, the rebate program affords added branding, merchandising and customer care opportunities.

How2.com offers online products and services that allow businesses to outsource post-purchase customer care functions. The site also acts as a e-commerce source for online information, products and services.
