Online careers site Monster.com, the flagship brand of TMP Worldwide, said it has reached a milestone –11
million job seeker
accounts, doubling the number of such accounts in the past six months.
The company said it added one million new job seeker accounts in less than a
month.
To date, Monster.com said it has a database containing more than 6.5 million
unique resumes and over 475,000 job opportunities from thousands of
companies. Not all account holders have posted resumes.
Monthly unique visitors to Monster.com increased from 2.8 million a year ago
to 4.9 million for October 2000, according to Media Metrix figures.
“The latest traffic figures illustrate our expanding audience of both
employers and job seekers, as increasing numbers of people are using
Monster.com to find the professional talent they desire and to manage their
careers,” said Jeff Taylor, chief executive officer of the company.
The Monster.com global network consists of local content and language sites
in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands,
Belgium, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Ireland and
Spain.
