Microsoft Retooling Bing Search Engine

Microsoft is ramping up its social efforts with the preview of new features for its Bing search engine that will provide enhanced integrations with popular social applications, such as Facebook and Foursquare.

Included in the update are overhauled Bing apps for Android-powered devices and Apple’s iPhone that include new integrations with dining ordering and reservation services. Additionally, over the coming months, Microsoft plans to roll out an upgrade to Bing Streetside to include views of buildings from the inside. Datamation has the story.


Sporting a new look for fall, Microsoft demonstrated new and updated features aimed at making its Bing search engine technologies more social, especially for mobile users, at its Bing Search Summit in San Francisco Wednesday.
