NaviSite Internet Services, a provider of
Internet outsourcing solutions, entered a
partnership with iCat Corp. that allows it to offer hosting and
management services for customers using the iCat catalog software.
The partnership with iCat supports NaviSite’s release SiteHarbor ProApps, an
application product line offering the hosting, management, rental and
integration of complex Internet applications for customers engaging in
electronic commerce. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
“The combination of NaviSite’s application expertise with the powerful
functionality of iCat’s catalog building technology yields a solution that
customers can feel secure will suit their needs today and provides the
flexibility to grow with their businesses in the
future,” said Bob Eisenberg, president and CEO of NaviSite.
NaviSite’s partnerships with other vendors including Open Market, Live Picture
and Engage Technologies.
NaviSite’s SiteHarbor product family consists of high-end Web hosting
solutions and application management services called ProApps. SiteHarbor
hosting services provide secure, reliable, Web hosting and co-location
services including Internet access, and “high-availability solutions through
load balancing, clustering, mirroring and storage services.”
SiteHarbor
hosting services offer Internet server management, featuring server monitoring
and maintenance by NaviSite’s systems administrators on a 24×7 basis. For
customers who want to manage their own servers, it
furnishes high-end co-location services.
For Internet image enhancement software customers will be charged on a per
image served basis, for commerce software on a per transaction basis, and for
ad serving on a CPM basis.
